Please tell us a bit about yourself outside of your work – family, pets, home life etc:
I love singing and am a member of a women’s choir called ‘Sohum Women’s Choir’, we perform at local music festivals and events. Healthy living and eating is important for me and I meditate daily. My children are all grown and independent of me, so I now have a young pup, 5 months, called Gracie who gets me out walking very early in the morning and late afternoon. Swimming in the local river and at the beach is another love and I am fortunate enough to live in a warm climate so can do this half of the year. I also love reading historical and mystical novels. Absolutely loved the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. I have worked in Disabilities and Mental Health area for many years, however my spiritual journey is very important and whilst I have learned skills with my counselling studies I have a very strong connection with the importance of raising our consciousness and vibration while on this planet.
Please tell us about your skills as a reader and how you conduct your readings?
I am an intuitive, clairsentient and clairaudient. I connect in with my clients by asking them to relax and take a few deep breaths. Always I ask if they would like me to look at something in particular or a general reading. I then shuffle the cards and start with a celtic cross spread. I find this starts the reading and once we have established a connection and I am on the right track, things just flow from there, often I get thoughts and messages coming through me. I endeavour to inspire people and help them to clarify situations and give gentle guidance.
What are your favourite subjects in your readings and what subjects can you look at?
I don’t really have a favourite subject. I can look at relationships, work, direction and most things.
What is your most memorable reading that you have given?
My reward in doing a reading for someone is that they feel better after their reading and that they are happy and feeling inspired to move forward in their lives or their day.
I have had many readings where someone has come back for another reading because their previous reading was true and good for them.
To be honest I don’t always remember lots of readings, it’s like at the time I am reading for someone it is totally about them and that is what I tune into, but not something I hang onto.
The most recent memorable reading I have done, was where the woman came in feeling really anxious and not happy. The enquiry was about her husband and children, whom she felt guilty about as she worked a lot and was the breadwinner of the family as her husband had an acquired brain injury from an accident. What came up for her was to hold them all in love rather than worry and guilt, to nurture and look after herself so that she was able to continue on and to spend small amounts of dedicated time with them, among other things. She left with a huge smile on her face and I ran into her in a shop a couple of weeks later and she was still smiling and had her children with her and they were off to do an activity together. She gave me a hug and thanked me again. That was really rewarding.
Please tell us why you enjoy reading for people?
I love helping people move forward in their lives. We all can feel stuck at times and when one gets a bit of clarity on the situation or even just talks about it, the energy surrounding it can change. I love inspiring people and guiding them to use and trust their own intuition and believe in themselves.
When did you realise you had a psychic ability?
I always knew that I was different to my sisters, I have three. Growing up I was always being told I was too sensitive and believed that was a negative. As a young adult I started playing with the tarot, studying numerology and becoming a practitioner in different energy healing modalities where I felt I had found my sweet spot as I could feel and use the energies. It wasn’t until I started reading for family and friends that I received really positive feedback that I gained confidence in my ability. I have done readings at home, at markets and had a room in certain shops where I always received great feedback from the clients. I have been reading Tarot for about 28 years and feel I have lots of experience with this along with my life experiences and work experiences
Is there anything else you want to tell us about you? For example: your readings, any spiritual experiences or interesting psychic-related stories you have:
I know that I can rely on what I feel, trust my intuition and act on that. It has been a journey as we are not always encourage in the western world to work in this way. I feel part of my path is to help others tune into their own abilities and trust their own intuition.
I have had many experiences throughout my life which I would classify as spiritual. I needed to learn how to get rid of negative energies or entities as they love sensitive people. We are actually more powerful that they are, however whilst we fear them they can attach to us or be around us. Knowing that we are more powerful and not being fearful we can clear ourselves and the energy around us and only allow loving entities and energies in.
I have powerful dreams at times that advise me of situations in my life that I need to be aware of. I also am very good at helping others interpret their dreams.
While doing energy work, I was able to become one with my client at times and experience what they were experience at that time.
